I'm crazy excited about the Flogging Molly show in town next week. It's gonna be some good, heel-kicking times.
Got in my first ever car accident last night. Grrr. Had come back from a low-key show (Roberta Chevrette) and was heading to an all-night diner around 1:00 AM for some coffee. Traffic was fairly light and everyone was going around the speed limit on a...

You rock. Thank you for checking out that link...I just wrote up another post for SG News on this article getting yanked from the Guardian today, but I doubt it'll see the light of day, given I referenced the offending article from Capital Hill Blue again...
There was this art & wine festival going on in town which sounded like maybe a decent way to blow a few weekend hours. Wasn't my scene. Lots of tents, kids, vendors and such.
Decided to go check out the local art museum instead. Goes by the name of the Crocker Museum, and it's got some pretty cool architecture. Not exactly the Guggenheim, but definitely...

Welcome to SGMC!
You couldn't go wrong applying as a Guzzi rider and a person with respect for museums.

Ran into this barber shop named Eddie's Place or somesuch. Gotta love a place that you walk into to get your nasty-ass mane trimmed back and they've got magazines with the Paladins and Reverend Horton Heat scattered about. Nice. Eddie's ma (lady who named her place after her 7-year old boy...proud mama). She's set up a bar in her backyard and is giving her space...

Got your app to SG Motorcycles. Please post in MY journal a little bit about what you ride, where, how long you've been riding, etc. If you don't currently ride, say something about why you should be a member of SGMC anyway. Anything to let me know you're for real will do. If you know a current SGMC member, have him/her leave me a note in my journal.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Finally found a couple decent places in town. Good to find that Sacramento has at least a couple places that aren't blindingly bright, huge, open-spaced chains like Applebees, Starbucks, etc.
Stumbled into this bar called Old Ironsides, which seems pretty cool. Servers seem like decent folk, it's nice and dark, got some retro booths and such. Looks like they've got a decent line-up on the...

Hey to anyone unfortunate enough to stumble into this journal.
I just moved to Sacramento from New York a couple weeks ago and have been bored out of my skull.
The sad recognition that the high point of my socializing has become 3:00 AM Denny's runs to read history books while at least being in the presence of other humans, have led me to seek...
