Okay, Dick Cavett's Rock Icons is the greatest DVD ever. I'm addicted.
In-depth interviews with top notch artists (Bowie, Joplin, Sly Stone, Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder) spanning 1969 to 1974 and exclusive in-studio performances of (then) unreleased tracks.
Cavett's got a great style: laid-back and pensive, totally engrossed in the person in front of him but always with the perfect question to get the most information without seeming nosy and prying.
Nobody's done it better since.
