Fairly quiet week all round; had a busy weekend with the D-Day coverage last week (and this week won't be much better with the Football, Euro elections, etc, etc) - but what can you do?

Jesus Wept - Richard Whiteley has got an OBE; why??? (The same could be said for Angela Rippon, who hasn't appeared on 'proper' TV for decades)

I have been out and about enjoying the summery weather and the local beer gardens; living around Highgate/Muswell Hill/Hampstead really come in to its own at this time of year - It's all bottles of red and lots of crisps, and leisurely strolls home. Did you know that Sting and Annie Lennox live only a few doors apart? You do now.

Much as I love Jet (top notch live band) someone must have said to them at some point "hang on, that sounds a bit like Iggy's Lust For Life, boys".

Still endeavouring to round up some tickets to go and see Belle and Sebastian on Tuesday too.
