Ye gods and little fishes - it is too bloody early *yawns*.
Fingers crossed, touch wood, pray to any deity that is listening but I hopefully the computer problems are now all resolved thanks to a) helpful advice b) NAV and c) lots of banging of head on table and scribbling of notes; this laptop needed a MAJOR once-over.
