Oliver Postgate had died at the age of 83. He was the imagination, the animator and voice of such great kid's TV as Bagpuss, The Clangers, Ivor The Engine, Noggin The Nog and others. it's entirely possible if you're not British this name will mean nothing to you, and indeed, going by the age of most of the people on here, even then the majority of you might be too young to *really* remember his work, but if you were a child in the UK between the 60s and the late 80s then Oliver Postgage was quite possibly as important to your childhood as John Peel was to your teenage years.
