Thought about putting something up to entertain y'all over the weekend; considered putting up a series of arty pics entitled 'having a sly wank' but knew you wouldn't be interested in that, so plumped for my favorite songs EVAH via the medium of YouTube (dear god - people have exhibitions in galleries for less). These aren't in any order, nor are they my ULTIMATE top 10 favourite songs EVAH because that always fluctuates - there is a pool of about 25 tunes that jostle for prominence... enough of my yacking; here we go -
1. Dinosaur Jr - Freak Scene (this probably IS my favourite tune of all time)
2. Smokey Robinson - Tears Of A Clown (just perfect; fantastic tune and a great voice)
3. The Who - Baba O'Riley (my favourite Who song; I love the opening....)
4. The Faces - Ohh La La (great song for singing along to whenever you're feeling a bit introspective)
5. Girls Aloud - Biology (Yes, I know this looks a bit odd in the middle of the rest, but it's utterly fantastic)
6. Brendan Benson - Tiny Spark (Just a great pop tune; when I hear the opening on my MP3 player I grin)
7. Sugarcubes - Birthday (sends tingles down my spine everytime I hear it)
8. Carly Simon - You're So Vain (I love the Faster Pussycat version too, for my sins...)
9. Primal Scream - Loaded (the soundtrack to my teenage and student years; hasn't aged at all)
10. Meic Stevens - Y Brawd Houdini (It's in Welsh, I only discovered it a couple of years ago, and it's just the perfect pop song. Can't find any clips of Meic singing it, so you'll have to settle for Super Furry Animals rendition)
