I can't remember the last time we had such a long run of good weather. It's going to be one of those summers they make documentaries about in about 10 years time, and people down the pub will say 'yes, but it's not as hot as the summer of 2006' for many a moon.
Week off (trans: not working this week, rather than I've got a week off with holiday pay) so much mooching about and taking stock of the world. Waiting for a new phone to be delivered (as you asked, it's the Nokia N80) and doing all the odd jobs that I keep putting off.
What have I been listening to of late? The Flaming Lips' latest, the new Cerys Matthews album (I *heart* *heart* *heart* that woman) and the Eagles Of Death Metal. I am also loving the new Christina Aguilera - especially the video - just in case you think I'm being horrendous chin-stroking music snob bloke.

heh! i have a special place in my heart for the flaming lips since i randomly saw them and they had a gong and glitter and a nun puppet. she don't use jelly is the sweetest thing ever.
