Much less bunged and riddled with cold bugs now, thanks to everyone who wished me a get well soon, and indeed, a BIG thanks for all offers wearing a nurse's outfit and bed baths

One of the funniest spectacles of recent TV times on Saturday night; a Finnish metal band called Lordi won the Eurovision Song Contest. It's never been the most hip and happening of events, and it still isn't, but it's good for a Saturday with a few bottles of wine (and if you have Freeview, you could have the lyrics Karoake style too!) and to see a band dressed in the sort of outfits that did Gwar proud storm to victory warmed the cockles of my heart.

Watford got promoted to the Premiership; I'm a die-hard Evertonian but have a soft spot for the Hornets after living in Watford for 9 years. Heck, I once lived on the corner of the Vicarage Rd Stadium and could see on to the pitch from the Kitchen upstairs! It's nice to see the underdogs can still surprise the experts once in a while.
