I have one guilty TV secret; there are two things I will not miss come hell or highwater - one of them is obviously Dr Who and the other is Top Gear.

For the Americans who don't know what TG is, I should explain that it's a programme about cars (for the most part, really expensive cars that people can't really afford, but who wants to see a Honda being put through it's pace anyway?). I should also explain that I can't drive, have no desire to drive or for the most part have any interest in cars. What makes TG work is that its taken the notion of car programme to it's extreme, and in the process made it very, very funny.

Last week featured a piece where the presenters tried to convert a people carrier in to a soft top convertible. The final part of the test involved going through a car wash. You can guess the rest... and it comes up with something equally stupid or inspired every week.

Really, if you're in the UK and not watching it on a Sunday night - and I know how Jeremy Clarkson polarises opinion - you are missing a treat.
