So I bought myself a new MP3 player (because a) the battery on my ipodmini was on its last legs b) because I wanted something with more ooomph! because I'm spending more time travelling and c) just because I wanted to, ok???) and after faffing around on the 'net for a while I settled on the Zen Vision: M - which basically looks like a chunky ipod, but has more bells and whistles and sounds good.
I don't keep my music on my laptop - it's all rather quaintly on CD, so I'm now in the process of filling it up. The ipod could hold a 1,000 - this muther can hold 15,000! That's a decent chunk of my entire record collection, in my pocket - and it's great
It means I can listen to whole albums again, jump around a bit more depending on my mood, pick albums at random and all sorts of sticky musical goodness.
I am in hog heaven, tbh - the laptop on ripping CDs and the super monkey ball and animal crossing on the DS. It doesn't get much better...

I want both a DS and a 'proper' mp3 player so badly. I've managed to spill ink on my poor little ipod shuffle so it's all grey and one of my earphones doesn't work. Also, I'm really missing album listening and knowing who the hell I'm listening to. I should start saving.
