hmmm... Its been one of those days. I had a big job interview this morning and it was ok - didn't come out brimming with confidence, but nor was I curling up inside in to a ball of shame after making any major fuck-ups. So... dunno. Will see what happens.

It's a bugger trying to find your place in the universe. This is all a...

that's the way interviews go, one day I really wnat to fuck one up on purpose just for a laugh, otherwise, I never know how they went either. As for finding your place, fuck that, just enjoy the search.

Three nights on the pop have caught up with me, and while I wouldn't have it any other way it is definitely time for a night-in, long soak in bath, comfort food (probably bangers and mash with lots of marmite gravy) and a good film. or a bad film, depending on what takes my fancy... ( Its the advantage of having a house that resembles...

Hi there. Yea, I'm a top bloke. You're free to see that. Why does the media cover shit stories that real people don't care about (the beckhams and other trash) when the world is falling apart through peasantry, disease and war. Surely this is more important. As a writer, can you give me a reasonable explanation?

I've not seen Shaun Of The Dead yet. I'd like to but it's getting bad publicity. My missus and I saw Starsky and Hutch yesterday (not by choice. The movie we were gonna see wasn't playing as listed on website, so save waiting an hour for it, we saw summat else, ala S&H) and that was pretty bad. Snoop Dogg was funny, but that's the only redeeming feature I can name.

It wasn't mean't to offend, I'm sorry frown

It was a real tea we went to though, but we couldn't quit laughing at how ridiculous we looked in those hats.

Monday raises its head once again. On the plus side I have a job interview lined up for a groovy job, but it means lots of 'motivating' by my other half when I tell her about it, so will keep schtum about it for a while...

Have also been filling my boots with Hot Cross Buns and MiniEggs ahead of waving goodbye to them for...

Ah, Grand National time. Once again I can stick my fiver on some three-legged reject from the glue factory. I've been one for reading the form, etc. so its lucky I only waste my cash on this race every year.

Post race edit: Bollocks.

Easter is coming - I would get out the flags and bunting but I'm working right thru' and to make matters...

I was going to launch in to a spirited rant about the joys of warm sunny spring days, but it appears to be *this close* to raining cats and dogs, so I'll skip that. Cheery sunny music - be it Beach Boys, early Van Halen, etc, etc. - never really works if its overcast.

Nearly ten years since Mr Cobain finished his whinging. Oddly it...

god when kurt shot himself i was distraught! i had no idea it was coming! when he OD'd in rome all the people at school were taking the mickey out of me 'cos of what he'd done and i was protesting that it was simply a mistake - and i really really believed that. maybe if i'd have realised it wouldnt have been so bad for me. his death triggered lots of suicide attempts for me. athough i did feel really fucking dumb trying to explain to my psychiatrist that the reason i wanted to die was 'cos kurt had killed himself!!! (hey i was only young! kids do dumb things!) then layne staley looked close to death and richey edwards went missing and then my world really did fall apart! man what a mess.

well ten years later and i'm almost back together again! dunno why i bother sometimes though... ignore me i'm wallowing in self loathing right now whatever

hey man, i'm sorry but i'd never heard of bill hicks. i did a little research and i understand he's a comedian. and has a wildlife foundation in his name...that in itself is pretty admirable!

take care

Start the week with a smile; The Divine Comedy have perhaps the greatest couplet of recent times on their new album - From the 'Happy Goth' I give you:

Well her clothes are blacker than the blackest cloth,
And her face is whiter than the snows of Hoth,
She wears Dr Martens and a heavy cross,
But on the inside she's a happy goth.

Ye gods and little fishes - it is too bloody early *yawns*.
Fingers crossed, touch wood, pray to any deity that is listening but I hopefully the computer problems are now all resolved thanks to a) helpful advice b) NAV and c) lots of banging of head on table and scribbling of notes; this laptop needed a MAJOR once-over.
Anyways, enough geek-ness - Let's boogie! biggrin

Hello; probably won't add much to this as I've always found journals/blogs/whatever a bit 'needy' (my problem, not yours) but it looks a bit spartan, so hey! *taa-daa!*

oh, and if my favourite pics thing looks a wee bit excessive, its only cos' I'm using it as a sort of bookmark.
