A rant:

I asked a guy with whom i work today if he liked RHCP and was familiar with their new songs. Now I for one like the new album...whether or not you do doesn't matter here...that's not what i'm ranting about....

What i'm ranting about stems from his response. He left me a VM saying..."Oh yeah, I love RHCP..I've been into them since even before they were cool."

Now someone please tell me WHY THE FUCK I SHOULD GIVE A SHIT if you liked them before me, the girl next door, half of america or the fucking man on the moon liked them!!

I couldn't give a flying rat's ass when you started liking them. I for one don't care if you even like them at all. Why the fuck would it matter WHEN.?!

In closing:
I see this a lot on here and a fair bit with people i hang with. I know that it stems in no small part in our generation's need to question the sheer volume of shit that has been shoveled(marketed) in our direction. If something is mainstream...it can't possible be cool...well unless you liked it BEFORE it was mainstream.

GMAFB!!! I hardly give a shit what you like...let alone when you started liking it...
