Have you ever listen to new music that is just so mind boggleing good you feel that some one gets you? This was the 80's. Since I was in high school and college in the 80's my mind I was just blown away by new wave and punk rock music. I would sit and listen to the 7" single of Well I Wonder/How Soon is Now by the Smiths. I would go and dance all night to Depeche Mode remixes, New Order, Joy Division Tom Tom Club at a place called The Vortex in downtown Sacramento, Ca where I grew up smoking clove cigaretts. Extacy was actually legal.

So why all of this remanicing about high school etc?


I watched this video and was blown away as his voice is like velvet to me. And reminded everything I liked about the music of the 80's. Well not the hair bands.




Something different in the nestalga thinking. I read on Monday that Boeing just finished their first Dreamliner Airplane, and that they are selling well. As I sat in my apartment I clapped and said good for them. I felt an emotion that I haven't felt in a long time. That someone actually took on something super hard without knowing that they will succeed and they overcome hardships and do it.
Then I got to think of how I felt when I saw the hockey team at the Olympics, or How I felt when the space shuttle first took off. Or when I was a little kid watching the mood landings.
What I am getting to for the past 8-9 years I haven't felt that about our country. We are spending the money that we could go to the mood and reap the benifits on Iraq. 10 billion dollars a month. Wow,

Sorry for being so much of a downer but I hope the next president of whatever dreams and makes the american people dream of things to achieve. Because fulfilling your dreams is what life is all about. Isn't it?
