On monday my work had a holiday gift excnage and this girl who I hardly talk with had piscked my name and given me two great cd's . The first was Lavay Smith and her Red Hot Skillet Lickers which was cool cause I have wanted that for a while . The second was one called "The Drum Battle " with Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich that totally rocks . The weird thing is that hardly anyone at my work knows that I play drums and I did'nt think that I like big band jazz at work . Well I think thats it pretty cool that she had been able to pick out things without knowing my too well . I was to shy to ask her how she had picked them out , but maybe I will talk with her on friday about it . It would be nice to have someone to talk about good music with at work .

oh yeah , MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!

Last night I wen to my Dads house in Napa and celebrated with my brothers and step family . It was pretty fun . My littlr brother got a PS2 which pissed me off cause when I was growing up I never got a 200+ dollar gift . I walked away with good shit though . Duffel bag with wheels , a new set of wrenches , and paint brishes and some new colored pencils . My brothers and I came back to my moms last night and had our christmas here . Well my little brother just played video games all day while we opened presents around him . I never expect much from my mom but she went all out this year for us and gave me a grip of cash for new drum stuff and clothes then pulled out 2 records that I have been trying to find for ever . So all said and done this was one of the best holidays that I remember . And no one fought . That was definatly a first .
