Sorry I've been particularly quiet of late - the internet decided to die just a few days before my dissertation was due (nightmare!). We're still without, but luckily my Dad lives down the road so I've been nabbing his net while ours gets fixed
But internet or no, I still submitted my Dissertation on 29th November! - here it is in all its glory:
The final wordcount (before bibliography) was 11,952 - considering that the absolute maximum is 12,000 (no 10% leeway), there really is nothing like cutting it fine ;p
My provisional dissertation mark should be out by 21st, and from that I should be able to work out my provisional overall MA grade. Terrifying but exciting times
Otherwise, a lot of my time has been spent at my bar job as we've extended opening hours - and I've finally learnt how to work a hand-pull (that sounds wrong... :p). That and working on my PhD & BPhil applications. Incidentally, trying to organise academic referees is like herding cats. Bah. >.<
But it's not all been work-work-work - indeed I've been out a lot this week :3
On Monday my work-mate Kelly took me for a very late meal for my very belated birthday present, on Wednesday I went bowling with some of my lad friends (and won!), on Thursday I went for a meal with my family to celebrate the end of my degree (it was originally supposed to be for me passing Module 2 - I passed that in February... we're not good at organising things ), and yesterday I went to the pub with some of my friends. Work hard, play hard etc
Between dissertation hand-in and this week I went and saw the brilliant CODE in London (which would have been better had I not bumped into my ex, but you can't have it all)
To close, here's me in a hat at bowling. Celebrating being better than all the lads ^.^
