Well things are as confusing as ever with P, we've only hung out in person once since I last updated and it was rather platonic, although he was a little odd when we went our separate ways at the train station when I said "oh, this is the last time we'll each other til July now" and he looked a little taken aback and upset and replied "don't say that, we'll go for a pint next week...". I also found it odd that he noticed I was wearing a new ring - especially when he asked me why I was wearing it :/ But I don't know, part of me reckons I'll never understand him and that I should just give up, but every time that I decide to close the book (as it were), within 10 minutes my brain manages to re-convince me to pursue him. :/ Although things are going to be a little different for the next few weeks, I didn't see him last week as I've been in Portsmouth (240 miles away) to visit my best friend, and since he jetted off to Italy for a 2-week holiday yesterday then I shan't see him until next month, so that will give us both chance to get some perspective. Though I've still been a little ":S" as he'll be spending time with his beautiful Italian friend while he's out there, which in one way doesn't bug me too much (he's single, he can do who/what he wants) but the thing that's odd is that according to Google Analytics, she spent an awful lot of time on my blog the day before P. flew out (and she'd never visited before). My friends are theorizing that she's "checking out the competition" which makes me think that, good or bad, P's been talking about me. Which is a bit of a thought.

Still seeing J in all this. We're still unofficial and it's still casual, although we are spending a little more time together of late (we watched Troll Hunter. Ace film, would definitely recommend it :3) but nothing rude has happened yet so it's still very early days. That said, he seems to be starting to like me quite a bit, which feels like more pressure to get this mess with P sorted out asap as I don't want to mess anyone around.

Uni-wise, I've had one amazing grade and one shit grade for my last two modules, and am currently working on my last short essay for my MA - how the time has flown! Otherwise, I've had two bits of good news over the last 2 weeks: I've been awarded an extension for my dissertation (due to issues with my ex meaning that I couldn't start working on it til late - it's a long story, and not one I want to get into here) so I'm a lot less stressed about that, at least.
Also, I found out the other week (indeed, P was the first I told about this as it was just before I met him for drinks that I found out) that I've got a job at uni as a tutor/teaching assistant for next year. I'll be teaching seminars for a first year module to Medical Students, for a short course to fourth years, and I'll be supervising a bioethics research project for 3rd year med students (I'll have to do everything from making reading lists to advising on drafts to marking - scary!). It's all very scary and exciting, and should look pretty good on my PhD applications next year :3

I will do a proper (and probably long) post on this another time, til then, have some pics :3

Me & J

I'm visiting my best friend in Portsmouth, so this has involved an awful lot of mini adventures... and me constantly singing this song...

Especially since Sadie (my friend) lives on an island, so we spend a lot of time on the ferry - which, as a landlocked lass, is an exciting novelty. This is demonstrated by my excitement in this photo:


It's been so much fun though, we went to Brighton (where I'd never been before - so I went all touristy )...

And I saw three of my closest friends I hadn't seen since last year: I hadn't seen 2 of them since graduation last July!


We also visited some of our old haunts in London, like Wold's End

And we were, of course, terribly mature throughout...
