A quiet night in the room actually feels good for once.

No fights, booze is cheaper on post than in the city. I can always go out for a donner.

Saving money for Octoberfest next weekend, waiting for the ex significant other to get online to talk dirty to instead of getting turned down by a dozen girls at the club. Statistically speaking even the...

From what my friends tell me, nights on a military base are rarely quiet. Although, they are MP's so they get to see all the good stuff I guess.

It weird how a morning run through Bamberg makes my day so much better.

How bad could your day be before a morning run? biggrin

"Dead as dead can be," my doctor tells me
But I just can't believe him, ever the optimistic one
I'm sure of your ability to become my perfect enemy
Wake up and face me, don't play dead cause maybe
Someday I will walk away and say, "You disappoint me,"
Maybe you're better off this way

Leaning over you here, cold and catatonic
I catch a...

Is it expected that people who claim to be part of an alternative community or alternative lifestyle adhere to the political view of the mass within their community? Seriously do people sit back to pick and choose their issues, to investigate every possibility and possibly forge unions between the left and right?

People clique to the word "alternative" as if it's something small and precious....

The fact that people's beliefs are poorly researched has nothing to do with how valid they are, they are beliefs if they were fully researched and proven they would be facts. That's the good thing about beliefs, you don't need to justify them, just believe them.

The divisions are there because people need to a part of something. We are no longer tribal people but that part of us is still hidden deep down. That's why football fans feel so strongly for their team and against others and also why similar people flock together.

Or I could just be talking shit, who knows? biggrin

Good points, belief probably wasn't the best word to use

It's not that I have an attitude, I just can't stand disrespect. It comes in many forms, even a lack of respect (without being stupid or intentionally difficult) annoys me to the fullest extent. I respect rank and position, but if you can't earn my respect outside of your job then I'm not going to like you as a person. It has no ill effect...

It can be hard to stay friendly and approachable with people of lesser rank, or employees, and still stay on the right side of the working relationship. I think it helps if you've worked under a good leader.

My Brother, for instance, never had a good boss. Now that he's in charge, he doesn't know how to be friendly with his staff but still keep his authority. I'm glad that I got to work under an exceptional manager. He was (and is) my friend but, in the work environment, when he asked me to do a job - I did it.

I think disrespect for people of a lower rank than you is a more prevalent problem than the other way round, power goes to people heads.
