UPDATE:
I HATE TECHNOLOGY!!!!!! I got up today excited to get my picts from the SG night on here when low and behold MY SCANNER DIED!!!!!! It's practically new!!! So I called up Canon (the manufacturer) and I explained very calmly what happened. The man I spoke to then said, "so it's all plugged in, and it's not powering on...well thats a problem"
NO SHIT?!

Well he basically ended up telling me that the AC adapter has a tendency to corrupt thus destroying the whole scanner...i politely asked for $100.00 back that I spent on it...but i was denied....now I either have to find someone who has a scanner I can use...or I will be subjected to going and buying a new one.....oh well... I wonder what cost is on one....muwhahahaha... mad

WTF?!? They won't give you money back even though they KNOW about the problem? That, my friend, is a load of shit and you should keep calling until they give you your money back. You can usually squeeze a refund out of them. It's defective merch.. how old is it anyways? If it's less than a year that should be under manufacturer's warranty.. especially canon.. i don't know about thier scanners but all of thier cameras come with a hella awesome warranty.. GAH I hate companies that don't take responsibility for the crap they produce...

If you're lookin for something new, I highly recommend the Lexmark X75... it's a printer/scanner/copier dealy.. goes pretty easy on the ink and the price is definitely right at about $80..

Don't put up with Canon's BS! Yell and scream until you get your way! wink hehe

Edit: You let her call, or is she like my mum and gets all fuming and calls to chew them out, even if beg her to not call - she did this once when I got fired. tongue
