Today was the worst day I've ever worked as a waitress...and I've had some pretty rough days.
One of the main cooks decided not to show up this morning and some of the other guys had no idea what they needed to "prep" so when one of the managers came in to help us, they were so far behind that it was just going to be hell.
They didn't tell me or Stu (the other girl working) any of this. So when some of our orders were taking 1 hour and 30 minutes, the customers started getting angry and rightfully so, but who gets yelled at? The waitresses. One lady almost brought Stu to tears and she's like 17 years old and we had to give away free meals to 10 tables. In the small place I work, that was about 60% of our tables at one point. I lost easily $40-50 worth of tips and Stu lost about the same, and yeah, chances are a lot of people will never come back because of the terrible kitchen service today.
It was much worse, I just can't rant about it anymore!? I just hope they get their act together soon..

I hope that work experiences have been better for you lately. Not fair at all. Things like that, should be explained to customers I think, people would hopefully be a lot more understanding...

ahhh I hate those profs, that think an 85 is the equivalent of a 100, gah, at least they told you that, intead of telling you how they thought it was the best you possibly could've done and then u get all expectant for an unbelievable mark and come back with like 79 or 80... bastards! ha
