Well I have some semi-good news about the whole tattoo artist retiring deal... it turns out that neither the army or the French Foreign Legion will take him at the moment because he has hand and neck tattoos, so he has to have laser tattoo removal done on them before he can join. He's still all gung-ho about it, crazy man, but he'll be a civilian for at least another year and will probably need help funding the removal so he may be working on a select 6 or 7 clients in the fall, and apparently I am one of those 7 
So I may yet be able to get some more work done by him before he goes and gets his ass shot off.
