sooooo... what can I update all you fine folks on....

well this Thursday I'm leaving to go pick up my kids.
They are currently in New Jersey visiting my ex's family. I'm super stoked to see them and I'll have them through the end of August. yay!

I am currently reading two books that are pretty dang good.
the first is Running with Scissors by Augusten Burroughs
I vaguely remember them making it into a movie but not sure if I've seen it but I'm going to finish the book first and then rent it.
The other book is Vacation by Matthew Costello
its a book based in the near future and the world is over run by "can heads" or zombies and there is a great drought and famine. the main character is a nypd cop who's partner was killed by a can head and he was injured so his boss and wife convince him to take his family on a vacation to this to-go-to-be-true resort in upstate New York.
I'm just about half way through and I really like it so far.

this past weekend I saw 'Ted' at the movies
it was.... a movie
Ok, it was entertaining but I guess I was expecting too much.

when I went to see Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter there was a preview for Quintin Tarantino's new movie 'Django Unchained'.
It doesn't come out until xmas but I am soooooo looking forward to seeing it.
