daily conundrum:
i was thinking today about how some people are "night people" and some people are "morning people." i'm going to take a poll, so if you read this, answer. are you a night person, or a morning person? personally i am a night owl. always have been always will be. it seems that i encounter more "night people" than i do "day people." (i was polling at work today) i was also wondering why this might be. any theories? the only feasible thing i could come up with was possibly the time of your birth.

People's propensity for morning or night is regulated by our circadian ryhthm or "chronotype" which differs for each individual.

There's even research that suggests variations are determined by a single gene, which means in the near future it should be possible to clinically identify whether someone is a morning or night person, and even "tune" this via gene therapy. Pretty far out.
