ive been trying forever to post a blog... my problem isnt what to write but the opposite where i have too many ideas and can't quite narrow it down, so i just keep putting it off...
So, on that note... and since i recently finished decorating for the holidays....
I wish I was one of those people that could easily say that the holidays are my time of the year. I currently live in Florida And the weather makes it hard to get into the holiday spirit. It is basically just hot or not so hot. I grew up in New York City, where the holidays are a magical time. The Thanksgiving day parade which began on the upper west side, blocks from my apartment, was a tradition for me and my father every year. then the infamous Rockefeller center Christmas tree followed shortly paired with all the amazing window displays at the 5th Avenue department stores was delightful, whimsical and heart warming even for a girl raised half Jewish. however the most indicative part was the weather. it was winter, it was cold. it felt like the holidays.
this year I've decided to do things a little differently, I'm actually decorating my 900 square foot condo. from the 7 foot Christmas tree to the menorah, I've got all my bases covered. I've definitely been a little scatter brained and everything is still kinds everywhere, but it feels right. Even. Bruce, my pug, is participating.
and... im still somewhat of a scrooge or rather grinch being in Florida
... which I'm totally embracing..
so, with a new found motivation.. I should be posting more often...

and cosplay... a recent new adventure of mine and im obsessed, fetish level status.
