my dearest friends and comrades,
stumbling around this here yard and reading all the tales of eats and meets, of meatless treats and heatful hats, of sensual fullness, long naps - fleeting yet meaningful pleasures indulged through rituals collectively and tenaciously clung to in an attempt to slough off the madness of a rapidly deteriorating civilization for just one or two blessed days of peace and light...
...has positively warmed my cockles, i say, fo sho sho. for once i am not sickened by the irony and shameless hypocricy of this holiday - instead i am actually feeling thankful. for reals. it is as if my family has suddenly become much, much larger.
OK, so, before i start crying and puking and shit, here's my new, post turkey obsession/procrastination: composing a slow, dirgey, metallic interpretation of the Freaks and Geeks theme music - kind of heavy metals, but kind of precious metals, too...
i'm convinced that if i can play it satisfactorily i may be able to get it out of my head. thoughts? instrumentation recommendations? i'm thinking maybe tympany and bells somewhere...

The Glockenspiel, a fine intrument with metal bits.
