For anyone who has read and enjoyed the book Way of the Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman, I strongly suggest that you not see the movie, as it is an enormous pile of crap that only vaguely resembles the book. I know that this statement can be made for most movies based on books, but this one was exceptionally bad.

It's not even that the...

The Eureka trip went well. I had a good visit with my dad and stepmom, and we got my grandmother's apartment all cleaned out. We even had time for a bonus trip to Costco, which in California means giant bottles of booze for much cheaper than Oregon's state-run liquor stores. So I returned with what looks to be a gallon of Stoli, a box of...

Listen here, I don't care if you insult me. I don't care if you insult my mother. But you cross the line when you insult my precious, innocent, Jif peanut butter.

I mean, is nothing sacred to you? wink

I'm glad your trip went well.

that's pretty much awesome. i still play that record from time to time. i'm listening to the new interpol right now and smirk if you want, but it's pretty good. better than that turd of a record that they cranked out last time round.

you should rejoin soulseek.

that's what i think.

We're off to Miami today for the fun and exciting errand of attending a funeral (RIP EnergyChannel's stepmom) frown Despite the nature of the journey, I'm doing my best to be upbeat about the trip. We get to see all three of his siblings, I get to meet the oldest sister and his dad, albeit not under the best of circumstances. I hope to be...

Yesterday was the perfect lazy Sunday. After sleeping in until 11:00 or so, we woke up and watched all four episodes of Alton Brown's Feasting on Asphalt, which really needed to be longer than four episodes. We lamented how fun it must be to be Alton, traveling around on your motorcycle and eating at all sorts of food joints across the country. In the...

Two snow days later, and now it's back to work. The roads look mostly clear, and it's just our street that still looks a little bit questionable. I hope that backing out of the driveway goes well. confused

It was fun having a little bonus weekend in the middle of my workweek, but it had to end sometime. At least there's only two more days before...

Snow blankets the city. And as usual, the city is thrown into chaos. Accidents, delays, people who really don't know how to drive in the snow. I'm pissed at my work for opening at 10:00 instead of just closing for the day, but I'm not risking my life driving up a rather steep hill. That's what sick and vacation days are for.

Whoops, timesheets are...

Snow! Ryan was saying how it was probably nice and temperate down there, when it's cold and snowing here, hehe, thanks for proving him wrong! Vancouver's had total freaky climate change weather and we are breaking records for snow, so poor Ryan feels deceived at how much snow I told him we normally get. Well, that's fun that you get the day off! Are you going to make snow angels with your free time?

I just don't have much to say these days. I'm still not quite sure why I joined back up, other than the great deal and all. I guess I really am just a sucker for bargains. It's sad, though, that so many people have left/are leaving, and I can't seem to handle the boards long enough to meet any of the newer crowd. Are any...

Hey great to see you guys the other night, sorry I didn't come by after. I walked the dog and my friend Bliss called to meet me for a drink down the street. I hadn't seen her in a while and I hadn't got any in a while, so you know. Well I still didn't get any but it was a possibility.

There really is nothing like sleeping in your own bed after being away from it for days. The phrase "sleeping like a log" doesn't begin to describe the depths of sound sleep I acheived last night. I suppose driving all day helped, but still. Home sweet home.

The trip was fun. My step-nieces, aged 2 years and 5 weeks, were totally cute. EnergyChannel got to...

We leave in a little bit for Eureka. This cold has more or less kicked my ass, and I've stayed home the last two days, blowing my nose and sneezing because I'm blowing my nose too much. My eyes keep watering and I generally look like shit, just in time for Christmas photos with the family! blackeyed All in all, though, it could be worse. EnergyChannel...
