Word from a friend I knew in elementary school is that she's engaged. Lots of people on here are engaged. It seems like the whole world is pairing off and exchanging shiny things to legalize said pairing. I almost feel like a defective woman for my lack of desire to be engaged. I love my relationship the way it is, and although marriage may be in the future, it is a long, long, long way ahead. I feel very lucky to be with
EnergyChannel, and also very lucky to have parents who treat him like family and don't care if we're "living in sin." Both my brother and I are like this, involved with wonderful people with no plans of engagement. The union is strong enough, we may as well be married.

Anyway, not a lot else is going on. Those thoughts have just been percolating inside my brain for the last couple of days. I'm so happy for all of my friends, and I wish you all long and loving relationships, regardless of what a piece of paper says.
