Tonight, a distraction from politics in the form of a kickass band from New York: TV on the Radio.
When we saw them a few months ago, they blew me away. So awesome. Now they are opening for The Faint. It seems wrong that they are the opener, but if that means I get home earlier and get more sleep, I'm all for it.
UPDATE: They were amazing. I kept hearing people around me asking "who are these guys? They're really good!" Yes. Yes they are. They ended with "Ambulance," which brought me untold amounts of happiness.
The sucky part was of course the length of their set. As witnessed by the fact that I'm already home. But what can you do? They were opening, after all. People looked all confused when we got up and left right after TVOTR. Some of us just don't care about The Faint, guys. Go ahead and take our seats and enjoy. We're going home to watch the Simpsons and relax.

Oh no worries. I'm sure they'll be back sooner than later.
And that will make the moment that much sweeter!

I wouldn't take you off -- no way.
