The weekend is finally here. 
I must admit, I enjoy looking forward to weekends again, after being unemployed for a few months and the days just blended together. This makes weekends special again.
We're attending a belated birthday party in my and EnergyChannel's honor, thrown by a friend who was born to organize fun parties. She's a big fan of themes, so this one is themed "Favorite Things." Each guest (except for us because we're the guests of honor) brings 10 of their favorite things to give to the other guests. 10 of the same favorite thing, that is. She's aiming for inexpensive, since we're all poor, but I'm still curious to see what other people bring. I sense cookies in my future.
