At the risk of overusing a phrase, good times were had last night. hansel came over with a lovely present of homemade vodka some friends of his made, and the three of us had a lovely evening of mixed drinks, music, and intellectual (at times) conversation. Just what I needed to end the weekend, and the vodka was damn good too. We assured him that we will gladly be guinea pigs again if needed.

Because the stove and fridge in our house were state of the art sometime back in the 70s, EnergyChannel called our landlord to let him know that the oven sucks and the fridge freezes things. The landlord came out on Friday to see for himself, and after witnessing the oven stay cold after five minutes at 450, he left. Later that day, he called to say that we were going to be getting brand new appliances! Fucking yay.

They will be here tomorrow possibly as early as 7:00 a.m. Fucking boo.

But it's still totally worth it. Mmmm, new appliances. I love my landlords. They are awesome.
