So, I was all set to have a nice long weekend with EnergyChannel. Lots of plans for hanging out with friends, hitting the outlet malls, going to see movies, and the like. Three straight days together. It was going to be great.
Well, we made it to my friend's 30th birthday party on Saturday, a muted but fun affair involving the new DVD edition of Trivial Pursuit, and he met a few more of my "work" friends. (Back when I worked, that is.
)
Sunday morning I woke up to an excruciating pain in my neck. I mean, excruciating, tear-inducing, wincing and whining pain. We figured I must have pinched a nerve in my neck by sleeping in some odd position, since there was no swelling or muscle soreness. Now, I'm a pretty flexible person, and have never experienced anything like this before, so for the first day, I crumpled into a painful pile of tears.
EnergyChannel, being the wonderful man that he is, has been taking care of me for the last few days, fixing me food, running hot baths, applying this homeopathic gel that so far has had no effect, and just generally being a total sweetheart to me. I haven't been outside since Saturday. This is the first day that it hasn't really hurt to sit at the computer, thus the update.
Yeah, so much for the fun long weekend, but at least we got to spend it together. Even if I was on my back for most of it. And not in the good way, either.
Stupid pinched nerve. You go away now!
Hee hee, but speaking of that little mad face, I finally watched The Hulk. Not too bad. I like the jumping scenes. All weekend, watching movies with people mocking me with their free range of neck motion. Bastards.
