Eventful evening at Pirate's last night. Aside from the 8 hundred thousand people who showed up, the constant making out between a few of the girls and I think a couple of the guys, the two dudes playing pool who got a huge kick out of it (surprise), and all of the out-of-towners, we had to leave rather suddenly after a pitcher, two pints, and the remainder of my drink ended up in my lap.
You know the moment right before something like that happens, and everything seems to slow down, and you feel like you should get out of the way or something to stop it, but in reality that moment is like half a second long and then you're soaked in two or three different kinds of alcohol (and a shirley temple too, I think)? Yeah. Perhaps it was a sacrifice to the party gods for Ryan's birthday. Maybe I shouldn't sit in the corner anymore at these things. But it was the one spot where I couldn't be poked at with a pool cue.
Another party tonight. I will definitely wear something washable.
