I've been wanting to update the 'ol journal for a few days now, but I've been too braindead to make it sound any more sophisticated than a first-grader learning to string sentences together. Seriously, I started yesterday and it read something like "We went to a show on Monday. The Figurines were playing. They were great." Yes, truly scintillating. Well, we did in fact go to that show, and they were in fact great, along with the opener, Micah P. Hinson. Great Danish and Texas rock for a Monday night. We, along with the other thirty people who showed up, had a fantastic time.

So now here we are at Wednesday. Halloween was uneventful, and we got one trick-or-treater. One. That is one more than we got last year, but still. So once again, we have a giant bowl of candy that we are forced to eat all by ourselves. Forced, I tell you.

My new glasses have arrived! I will upload a new picture soon. So far, most people haven't really noticed, which is funny, because they are much more noticeable than my last pair. So now both EnergyChannel and I have new glasses. We're finally entering the 20th century, stylewise. Go us! I'll have to get some pictures of him too.

Speaking of EnergyChannel, have I mentioned that he is the awesome individual who financed my triumphant return to the world of SG? I'm the luckiest girl in the world.
