Broadcast was amazing. The lead singer has the sweetest voice in the entire world, I believe. I just wanted to sit her down and have her read to me. It felt strange to be out among the hipsters again, and I felt simultaneously invisible and conspicuous, if that's possible.
After the show, we walked down a block to hit the big SGPDX party hosted by hypnogogic. Once again with the conspicuous feeling, as we were the only ones not in costume. We told everyone we were dressed as Portland indie rock kids.
It was great to see everyone else in costume though, and the party now holds the distinction for shortest wedding ceremony ever. Congratulations, hypnogogic and ladybelmont! Fabulous wedding idea.
We left somewhere in the middle of all the dancing and the guests becoming increasingly more inebriated, and tried to find yet another party in the maze known as Ladd's Addition. We were unsuccessful, however, and came home to crash. All in all, a great night, even without costumes.
Now, I must venture out to buy Halloween candy, in case the little bastards expect something tomorrow evening. New house, no way of knowing how popular we are. Last year I bought a giant bowlful of candy and zero kids showed up. That's why you should always buy candy that you like, in case you have to pick up the slack.
