Spielberg's Lincoln was excellent. Surprisingly retrained direction from Spielberg, who really sat back and let the story and power of the performers take over.

Despite what the trailer shows, the movie actually makes great effort to show Lincoln as a man, and not this grand, mythic, almost god like hero.
