Just as I spoke of Scott Pilgrim non stop when I was attending all those screenings, as the con comes closer I'll unfortunately be bullshitting more about SDCC.

The time is near, and unfortunately I've got some shit to bitch about.

If one more of my "geek" friends bitches about me going because it's not about the comics anymore, I'm going to punch all the comics in the world.

"Oh it's all about movies now, it's not even a comic book convention any more."

For the love of god, look at the original comic con banner. It was never a show exclusively about comics. From it's inception, it was about comics, AND films, AND science fiction. Besides, comics still have the largest single presence at the con.

Yeah, you know what, it is frankly kinda stupid that we have a Dexter panel, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, but you know what, all movies are in one room, and shows in the other. Just avoid the fucking rooms. And don't give me anything about no, it's the comic panels too, cause I'll tell the truth, I've never had an ounce of trouble getting into a comic panel, whether it be a Spotlight On, or the Cup O' Joe, or whatever.

It's just in a bit of planning. Sort out your panels, and plan accordingly. I know I wanna see Spielberg and Tin-Tin on Friday, that's something I want to do, I don't have to do it, the con has plenty else happening, but that's what I want to do, so I'll set myself up the time to get in there. Then if I'm gonna go to say, The Gauntlet with Spike and Mike, well I know I can pretty much wander into that one.

And another thing, I don't know why I keep hearing that people are waiting in line for 3-4 hours for panels and getting turned away. I mean, maybe I'm just lucky, but I've never waited more than an hour and a half, and that was only for last year when I wanted to get into the marvel studios panel.

Of course this is my opinion, you are completely entitled to yours. I understand I'm lucky, I live an hour and a half from San Diego so I just drive out. I stay in the same hotel every year(never had a problem getting a room through the con) which costs me $149 a night, split 4 ways, and I ride the free shuttles. I bring my own food and drink, so there's no money needed on that end for me. So really, every year I go to the con, after hotel costs, all other money is just superfluous for shit I don't need but want. I'll admit, that probably makes waiting in lines more okay for me, obviously for those of you who spend 2000-3000 each year for the trip... my heart is with you.

So yeah, I have it better than most who go to the con, but don't fucking push your anger my way cause I go every year. To you I must say
