As a geek, I must express my sadness over the passing of Irvin Kershner today. For those who don't know he was the man who gave us The Empire Strikes Back, a seminal film for anybody who fancied themselves of a nerdy nature.
Aside from Empire, his filmography was wonderfully diverse including Loving and even the Bond remake Never Say Never Again.
There is very little I can say about a man who I never met but have always respected, so instead I leave you with this:
