Film School.
The prospect of that scares and excites me. I've started talking to someone at a potential film school I may attend in Ventura, and it's very exciting. At the same time though, I'm the guy who has lived with his parents all his life and is still pretty much completely dependent on them. I'm also horrifyingly afraid of them. As far as their concerned I'm still a psychology major, and they like it like that. Asking them to accept that I'm gonna go to film school would also be asking them to accept that I'm not gonna go to a traditional college, that I'm not gonna have a typical doctor/lawyer major, AND asking them to help me pursue this.
I'm really pretty scared, but I just can't see myself working in any other field.

If your parents won't support you, there are other options. Loans, scholarships, night shift work. It's lovely if one's parents will support (emotionally and financially) you, but it's certainly not a requirement.
Good luck. I hope it works out for you.
