Ditched work today to run down to Hollywood. My friends and I went to Golden Apple Comics to buy some stuff, I grabbed a few issues of Power Girl, which is excellent. We then went to Pinks to grab some excellent frakking hot dogs. In case you don't know what Pinks is, it's this great Hot Dog stand that has been here forever, here's a picture that is totally not mine and just something I grabbed off the internet.
I had the dog on the left which was massive, I got through about half of it and was done.
We then went down to Hollywood blvd. to frak around for a bit. It got close to showtime so we went into the Paramount Studios lot and had my friend check us in. We then watched Iron Man 2 there. I must say the theater that's actually in the Paramount lot is beautiful, the chairs were so comfortable we just about fell asleep. Iron Man 2 was cool, although it suffers from the same thing any film that is a direct sequel would have, it's the middle of the story. I mean, it was definitely a complete arc, but since it happens so closely after the first flick it suffers from the same thing Two Towers suffered from. Regardless I dug it, and I might go back next week just to relax at the paramount theater. Afterwards we walked out to Amoeba, which is this kick ass music and movie shop and hung out there for a bit until we were kicked out.
Oh! and on the walk back from Amoeba I had an interesting run in with this big guy who was following us around for about half a mile. Maybe I'll post that conversation one day, I find those fun to write.
BOOM!
