Hey, it's time to film geek out, I got a question for nerds out there...
Of the five most influential living American filmmakers, them being Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Francis Ford Coppola, and Brian De Palma, who would you be if you could choose?
Martin Scorsese is the voice of his generation, with the ability to tell intimate stories on a grand scale,...

I think I would go with Spielberg because he can make serious movies with a message and then be part of a popcorn flick or a comedy, and that i more like me, seious here and there and then funny.

Thank you for the fantastic testimonial sir. It's funny that you said I was the guy beind the guy, behind the guy, because for the longest time I had that as descriptive sentences on messenger and myspace. Thanks again.
You'll excuse me if there's been a redundancy to my posts lately, but what can I say, this just happens to be whats happening in my life right now.
Tonight my friend and I decided to head out to another showing of The Wright Stuff II at the New Beverly Cinemas. This time it was a double feature of Dirty Harry and The Super Cops(which...

Thank you sir, I have a decent sized smile on my face, so I'm calling it a win.
In continuing this sort of obsession with the films of Edgar Wright, next Saturday, I'm going to a triple feature at the New Beverly Cinemas of Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and Scott Pilgrim. All three films will be introduced and discussed by Edgar Wright in person plus, what he says are some pretty special guests. I know it's a long shot, but I'm...

Alright, it's a new year, and hopefully this will be the year I start taking care of business, well, kind of.
The school thing is pretty largely on hold for now until I find out if I got into any other colleges. One way or another though, I'm moving on to a university come September.
I've been on a pretty okay diet for the past...

I'm going out to supper with the folks, Grandma, my cousin and his wife, then I have no idea what's going on. Have a good one.
Today is the 115th anniversary of cinema, watch a movie tonight to celebrate.
This is where it all began folks, look at how far we've come in just a little over 15 years.

I plan on watching The Other Guys tonight, I had forgot I pre-rented it from Amazon until it started downloading last night, so I will do my part to honor cinema.

Nice.
Yeah, Baby monkey riding a pig is smile inducing.
Gonna watch some Fringe and then it's on to The Other Guys!

This is gonna be a big fucker. I don't expect anybody to actually read the reasoning behind every film.
Weve reached the end of the year once again, and my love for movies continues unabated. So I decided to once again make out a new list of my absolute favorite movies, this time taking into account all the new stuff I saw this year as...

For anyone who has never seen it, you should really make an effort to see Wong Kar-Wai's Chungking Express. I just watched it again, on the same day. It's kind of amazing how much I love this movie.

Well since I have a month off for winter from classes I figured I'd dive into a new director study. It's not nearly as impressive as it sounds, I just choose a director I find interesting and I go through and watch every film of theirs I can. I've done this with plenty of people. Really I guess the term study...
