How long have you been working on cars? What got you interested in them?

azrea:
@timjimmy I started working on cars about 10 years ago and kind of learned as I went along and hung out with other enthusiasts who were willing to have someone over their shoulder over the years. What got me interested? Well my entire family has always been in the automotive industry in one way or another so I was hooked at a very young age. I grew up staring at Nova's, GTO's and trans am's but it was actually an 89 Subaru Justy that got me head over heels for the long haul lol

I was much the same. My older brother had a '78 Chevy K20 that he was trying to restore and one day, when I was 13, I decided I was going to pull apart the engine. It took me a few days to get it back together again, but miraculously it still ran afterwards. I bought my first project car, a horrible '83 Camaro, about a year later and have always had something to work on ever since. What was it about the Subaru that you liked?
