Now to help your cause you should start looking at your budget and cutting back on minor expenses, every little thing helps. Start yourself a little horse fund if you will, cut back on your take out and just eat at home (allow him too that way he can't say anything about the money you saved) and little expenses here and there that you know you can live without.
