i am a tattoo artist, trained by my mom and i work with her in nashville, but while in columbus, i do it more as a hobby.
If an Irish wedding makes YOU happy ( I would be less concerned about your better half's interest), then do it!! You will remember it as the wedding you always dreamed of and HE will remember it as the wedding that made you happy.
Most men, myself included, would be perfectly happy with a trip to to the courthouse and a big party (with lots of alcohol) immediately following.
