So there is really nothing in life like having a 1200+ lb pregnant mare stand on your toes. Seriously. Try it some time.
Thankfully, nothing appears to be broken, I can still move them all, and none of my nails are even damaged. My big toe is slightly flatter, now.
Lacy needs a pretty firm hand. She's not for the faint of heart. She's a man eater. And a woman and child eater. She did, actually, try to bite me tonight when I didn't let her turn around and go home. She missed. Or rather, I made sure she missed.
I'm curious to see how she looks without a foal kicking around inside her. She's much much larger than Amber, probably about 2-300 lbs heavier than Amber, much taller and wider. We broke trees tonight.

Owch. I miss horse riding but I do not miss mucking out in the dark and the snow, falling on hard ground, being kicked, being steped on, being bitten or my personal worst, being on a stallion when it decided that he wanted to mount the mare in front of us. Fun times, I tell you!

Stereotype maybe, but I came out of it feeling like I'd been kicked repeatedly in the ass for 90 straight minutes. Not to say it wasn't fun though.
