So we had a pretty decent conversation last night. It still ended with me not getting a horse, but at least it's was much clearer as to why I'm being asked to wait. And as a compromise, he agreed to let me buy my boots and carharts and other gear for competition next weekend. I'm also going to talk to Deb, and see if we can't work out a deal where I trade work for more time on Amber.

Sounds like my Dad is going to get that Great Dane. So now I have to put together a new dog care package for him. whatever I am the awesomest daughter.

And now i'm going to work. frown

nothing but love for ya lady! Glad to hear you all had a good conversation last night, i think it was long over due. Plus it's cool that you were able to get something out of the deal . Now to help your cause you should start looking at your budget and cutting back on minor expenses, every little thing helps. Start yourself a little horse fund if you will, cut back on your take out and just eat at home (allow him too that way he can't say anything about the money you saved) and little expenses here and there that you know you can live without. biggrin I really do hope you can get a horsey soon smile

Even if the outcome isn't what you wanted, it's still better to have it out in the open. Besides, now that the line of communication is open, that means that maybe he's a bit more receptive to it down the road.
