Do you ever wonder....

Where you'd be today if you'd done it all differently? If you hadn't gotten married or left the One behind, had kids or opted for dogs instead, moved away or stayed near your family? Does it bother you, not knowing how things played out in a different world? Do you regret it? Do you wish you could do it all over again?

Would you start over again? Leave it all behind and find yourself brand new? Where would you go? What would you do? Are you so truely satisfied with your life in this very instant that you would pass the chance to fulfill those childhood dreams? Would you be an astronaut, or a doctor, or a baseball player? Or would you just be you? The same one you are today?

I think about that everytime my birthday comes around and at the end of each year. I'll look back and do the - where was I then. It's fun... but I don't know if I'd change anything.

The only thing I'd change is that I wouldn't have run up so much debt trying to keep up with people who earned more than me. But I s'pose now I understand the value of things better. Especially when I consider that the 50 I put on my credit card for a posh meal will probably end up costing me four times that in interest by the time I pay the card off. Was it worth 50? Yes. Was it worth 200? No.
Aside from that I'm where I want to be, doing what I want to do with who I want to be with. Every time I wonder about a decision I look at the chain of events that it led to and decide it was right.
