Looking back at last nights blog, I am really surprised people actually liked it. I was kinda expecting to have no one read it.
So lets look at some of the other things to me rather than my depression.
I have recently started playing Fantasy Flight Games' X-wing. Its a tabletop game using miniatures of the space ships from Star Wars and using templates and dice, you face off against an opponent in an attempt to shoot down all their models, before they shoot down yours! I started about 2 weeks ago with a few borrowed ships from a friend, now I own over 20 ships, have travelled to the far south of Western Australia (4.5 hours drive from Rockingham where I live) and managed to come 3rd in a tournament there. This allows me to go play in the Nationals over in Sydney in November, which I am doing. I have noticed since playing my mind is definitely better, having something that I seem to be naturally good at means that I have got more confidence as well as meeting new, like minded people.
What else do I do? Well I am an assistant manager at what can only be described as an awesome Geek store, we sell Magic the Gathering, Yugioh, Pokemon TCG and many other board games and tabletop games. I love my job, I am not a fan of some of the people I work with, mainly because they have treated me like crap, but now thanks to hard work, I out rank them and due to their attitude, they will soon be replaced by new staff, who I can train up to actually give a crap about their job!
I also model railways, already I can tell some of you will have gone, ugh oh, loner who lives in his parents basement alert! I actually live in my own place! You can tell I am a geek by my tattoos but I would be surprised if you could tell how much without me telling you. Im pretty good at being a social chameleon, I have a good ability at blending into social conforms between groups.
I dont really know what to say now! Im sure I will continue with my verbal diarrhea sometime this week. Thanks for reading it awesome people, I hope you have an awesome day/night!
