I need help.
I found out a few days ago my mother has breast cancer again.
The specific type of cancer is infiltrating ductal carcenoma.
She has to have both breasts removed.
Has anyone had a loved one have this surgery?
Anyone have happy stories of quick recovery?
I also told her that since she has to quit smoking that I would quit smoking.
Which is much harder than I anticipated.
I don't want to use patches or gum, so are there tips you can give me?
One person told me chew ice.
It didn't help.

How's your mom doing? How's not smoking going? I remember in high school... my boyfriend at the time.. his mom was quitting smoking. She would carry a bag of licorice with her, and eat a piece when she was driving or on the phone etc. She realized that she was half addicted to "doing something" as well as nicotine.. it helped her alot.
