What I also know that dogs never forget the person who has done something good for them! My last dog as a kid I had to leave behind with my grandparents, our family immigrated to a different country. We used to visit my grandparents after that every year and it took only a few seconds for my dog to recognize me. He was so happy, he couldn't calm himself for a long time from jumping, running, barking, I never experienced such genuine happiness ever.
