I should state that our dear San Jose Sharks lost in game one to the Calgary Flames, 4-3 with less than two minutes left in overtime. I listend to the game at work. And on home territory, as well. Double burn.

But there IS hope! They have one more home game this week before the Sharks head to the Great White North to face off Calgary on their stompin' grounds.

So, you see, we'll beat the Flames on our home turf in the next game, go to Calgary, and then beat their asses there too before we come back home!

WE'LL KICK YOUR PANSY ASS BACK TO CANADA, AND THEN WE'LL KICK IT SOME MORE!

.....sorry...I get a bit competitive when it comes to hockey. Blame Detroit for that.

Anyways, I have NO idea why this came to me at work today, what all I'm about to address. But it angered me, like many things tend to do. And not because of the actions, but because of the injustice that it becomes.

As you read, I went to see Redemption 87 a couple of weeks ago at The Pound in San Francisco. Davey Havok was indeed there, and I got to talk to him for a millisecond after the show - you read that. The night before, he was in L.A. for some sold out Morrissey shows. After one of the shows, think it was on Friday, I guess he went to Swingers, which is a bar, to get his grub on. How do I know this? Because this stupid ass bitch named Bianca wrote about it here. Now, normally, I wouldn't really care about stupid shit like this.

Except that Bianca (girl on far right in first picture), along with one of the girls in one of the pictures, Clarissa (girl on far left in first picture), are the two girls who were stalking Amber and I back in January and February. And like a moron, Bianca has a link to her journal posted in her Myspace profile. (Yes, I have had the misfortune of stumbling across it whilst surfing through Myspace, clicking around through profiles connected to me.)

Now, she and Clarissa call me a stalker. I go to see Davey dj'ing at a club on NYE in San Fran. I stick around in the club after he leaves - long after he leaves, because I'm having one hell of a time. BUT, I'm a stalker because of that, and she tries to get kids to rally around her and attempt to try something on me in San Bernardino. BUT it's okay for her and her friends to walk into a bar and bug a celebrity while they're eating. To purposly cause a scene to get that persons attention. And it's okay for her and her friends to walk onto Morrissey's property, PRIVATE PROPERTY, and steal dead flowers off of his lawn the first time, and then take a picture on his steps while he's home the second time.

BUT Amber and I are stalkers for going to shows that they *might* be at, because we happen to like the same band. We're stalkers because we go to a club that Dave goes to....every once and a while. Um, yeah, it's called living in the same fucking area as some of these little punk rock stars. It's only an eventuality that you'll run into one of them. And it's not a big fucking deal. Wow, there goes Tim Armstrong. Hey look! Tre Cool is grocery shopping!

....perhaps I'm going a bit off topic here.

At any rate, again, it pisses me off that some musicians just get NO privacy on their offtime. That kids fucking follow them around, bug them while they're eating/shopping/conversing with others and refuse to leave them alone. HELLO! THEY'RE PEOPLE JUST LIKE YOU AND I! THEY DESERVE TO HAVE A LIFE TOO! I could have approached Davey the single time I went to the Death Guild, but I didn't. It didn't feel right. In fact, I felt partially guilty for being in the same building as him and it not be because he's performing that night. I was there on his offtime....and though I did enjoy getting to see that he was all well (this was AFTER the cancellation of the tour), I did feel a bit uncomfortable, like I didn't belong there.

It's one thing to approach someone famous after a show of some sort. They're expecting it to happen, whether or not they were the focus of that show. It's a totally different deal when you're bugging someone and it's their private time. To me, that's crossing a very thin line that needs to be left uncrossed. It's not fair, it's rather rude actually, especially when they give you hints and indications that they don't/did not want to be bothered. I could never dream of walking up to anyone on the street and begging them for a picture or an autograph. Hell, I'd probably act like I didn't see them.

*sighs* I'm going off on yet another tangent. I suppose I should stop now. I just hate hypocrites.

i agree with everything you said 100% !!! i mean rock stars, celebrities, actors, actresses, they are all normal people like you & me. and they too also need their personal time & privacy, so just leave them alone when they are not the center of attention, cause more than likely they will not want to be bothered. you are right though!!!
