well it looks like another weekend in Chi town for me- I migrate there so often it's ridiculous. Got me a little sweetness down there now- his name is Mike, and he's a total golden boy. My first blond. very fun loving and surfer-ish. And a complete drunkard, so naturally we're a great pair. I'm not so into James- he's quite negative and critical, two qualities I cannot abide by especially given the intense and stressful nature of my job. I need lots of laughter and cuddliness, and Mike's got it in abundance. Case in point- the other day I had to cover a hostage situation where this really rich guy went off his rocker and nearly sliced his wife's head off in his living room, right in front of their two young children. Right after that I had to shoot a children's play. Crazy.... surreal

I'm getting better at it day by day. I've been talking to my editors about the totally unrealistic workload, and they said they would take travel time into account when assigning me shoots, which is crucial when you want to be somewhere on time. I like to get to my shoots early, so hense my frequent heart attacks when I get 3 assignments in the same time period. I'm a photographer, not a magician, dammit!

What else? gearing up for another gallery night, even though it's not until late January I have some awesome ideas and I'm actually collaborating with another artist for this one. My work's in the can (think: dried eggs it'll be fabulous) but my damaged prints may be painted over by my friend mando, who is really good and doing the damn thing btw- he makes a living solely making and teaching art. Also, he wants to do an installation piece where we do casts of bodies looking at photographs of the models getting covered in plaster of paris for the casts. very high concept, which is a departure from my emotive style. Good times.

I am debating what to do about my second prism series. i have some scans and I'm not sure if I want to pursue this project or no. It seems to lack that little gut twisting spark of magic that I am feeling when I really like a piece. I have em up in my pics folder- they very much need to be processed, so keep in mind the tonal quality needs to be a whole lot richer, but have a peek and tell me what you think.

also just for fun there are new pics in my abstracts folder. hey, why not?

Well I'm making like a baby and heading out- love peace and the chicken grease! bok

Hi. I took a look at your photos and I really like the ash tray, the photos of the stringed instrument that were for the symphony, and some of the nudes were very interesting. I like the neck photo in the nudes particularly. Good luck with your works.
